Frequently Asked Questions

How do I load an image?
Three ways: drag and drop an image file onto the editor, click the browse button to open a file picker, or press Ctrl+V to paste a screenshot directly from your clipboard.
How do I blur part of an image?
Select the Blur tool from the left sidebar (the squares icon). Click and drag over the area you want to pixelate. Use the + / − controls in the floating toolbar to adjust the pixel block size. You can draw multiple blur regions on the same image.
Can I move or resize an annotation after placing it?
Yes. Switch to the Pointer tool (arrow icon at the top of the sidebar). Click any annotation to select it, then drag to move it or drag a corner/edge handle to resize it.
How do I undo a mistake?
Press Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac) to undo. Press Ctrl+Y or Ctrl+Shift+Z to redo.
How do I delete an annotation?
Select the annotation with the Pointer tool, then press Delete or Backspace.
How do I export the finished image?
Use the buttons in the top-right: PNG (lossless), JPG (compressed), or Copy to write the image straight to your clipboard for pasting into Slack, email, or any other app.
Does the extension send my images anywhere?
No. All editing happens entirely in your browser tab. No image data is ever uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What image formats can I open?
Any image format your browser can render — PNG, JPG, GIF, WebP, SVG, and more. Just drag, browse, or paste.
Can I zoom in while editing?
Yes. Use the zoom controls in the bottom-right corner of the canvas area (+, −, fit-to-screen), or scroll the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.
How do I edit a text annotation I already placed?
Double-click the text annotation, or select it with the Pointer tool and press Enter or F2.
