VoiceInsight does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to its own servers.

All user data, including:

  • Voice recordings

  • AI-generated summaries
  • Key points

is stored locally on the user's device only.

Users provide their own OpenAI API key, which is stored securely on the device and is never transmitted to VoiceInsight servers.

1.3 How Data is Used

All processing occurs either:

  • Locally on the user's device, or
  • Directly between the user's device and OpenAI using the user's API key.

VoiceInsight does not access or store user data.

1.4 Third-Party Processing

  • OpenAI processes data only when the user initiates a request via their API key.
  • VoiceInsight does not proxy, intercept, or store this data.
  • No data is sold or shared for advertising.

1.5 Data Storage & Retention

  • All data remains on the device.
  • Device-level backups (iCloud, Google Backup) are governed by respective platform providers.
  • Users are responsible for managing and deleting their data.

1.6 Security Measures

  • HTTPS encryption for network communications
  • Secure local storage (Keychain / Encrypted Storage)
  • API keys are never logged or transmitted to the developer

1.7 Children's Privacy

Not intended for children under 13. No data is knowingly collected from children.

2 Terms of Service

2.1 Acceptance of Terms

By using VoiceInsight, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2.2 Description of Service

VoiceInsight allows users to:

  • Record audio
  • Generate transcripts
  • Create AI summaries
  • Extract key points

All data remains local; the App does not provide cloud storage.

2.3 OpenAI API Usage

  • Users provide their own OpenAI API key for AI features.
  • All requests go directly from device to OpenAI.
  • Users are responsible for OpenAI billing.
  • VoiceInsight does not store API keys or control OpenAI services.

2.4 User Responsibilities

Users agree not to:

  • Upload or process illegal content
  • Violate intellectual property rights
  • Harass or harm others
  • Reverse engineer or exploit the App

2.5 AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

  • AI-generated outputs may contain errors
  • Results may omit details
  • Users must verify accuracy; do not rely on AI for professional advice

2.6 Limitation of Liability

VoiceInsight and the developer are not liable for:

  • Data loss
  • AI inaccuracies
  • OpenAI outages
  • Indirect or consequential damages

2.7 Service Availability & Termination

  • The App may be updated, modified, or discontinued without notice
  • Access may be suspended for Terms violations

2.8 Changes to Terms

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2.9 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Australia.

3 AI Transparency & Disclosure

3.1 AI Usage

VoiceInsight uses AI services for:

  • Transcribing recordings
  • Summarization
  • Key point extraction

3.2 AI Limitations

  • Outputs are probabilistic and may be inaccurate
  • Users are responsible for verifying results
  • AI processing occurs only via OpenAI using the user's API key

3.3 Billing Responsibility

Users are responsible for any OpenAI usage fees. VoiceInsight does not charge for AI processing.
