AudioMax Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how AudioMax – Volume Booster handles data when you use the extension.
1. What the extension does
AudioMax amplifies audio in your Chrome browser using the Web Audio API. It attaches a gain node and a 3-band equalizer to any audio or video element on the active tab, allowing volume boost up to 600%, independent Bass/Mid/Treble EQ control, real-time dB monitoring, named preset storage, and per-site volume settings.
2. Data handling model
- All audio processing happens entirely within your browser using the Web Audio API — no audio data is captured or transmitted externally.
- Volume, EQ settings, and named presets are saved to
chrome.storage.syncso they sync across your Chrome devices. This data never leaves Chrome's own sync infrastructure. - Per-site settings are keyed by domain name and stored locally in Chrome's sync storage.
- No personally identifiable information is collected, processed, or stored.
